Kentucky Farmers get Energy Efficiency Grants

ALMOST $700,000 in energy efficiency grants are available to agricultural industries across the U.S. state of Kentucky.

State Governor Steve Beshear revealed that the first round of applications came from 81 farms in 36 counties, with the grant money provided from the Kentucky Agricultural Development Fund.

The programme offers 25 percent, up to $10,000, reimbursement on the cost of an energy savings project. The range of projects include energy audits, energy upgrades and energy efficient farm building technology.
