Energy Efficiency Help for Australian SMEs

SMALL and medium enterprises in Australia who are looking to improve their energy efficiency are to benefit from the expansion of a 'Not for Profit' national sustainability scheme.

The Australian Department of Resources, Energy and Tourism is increasing the reach of the countries CitySwitch program to benefit more small and medium enterprises.

CitySwitch is targeted specifically towards commercial offices and the tenants of such spaces. The program promotes behavioral changes along with investment in energy efficient lighting and technology.

The funding is part of the Australian Government’s EEIG program, designed to help SMEs and community organisations make wise energy efficiency decisions based on accurate information and this latest initiative will help many more to enjoy benefits other areas have enjoyed for over five years.
