UK TV star promotes energy-saving for businesses

High-profile entrepreneur Theo Paphitis is backing a campaign to help British businesses replace inefficient equipment with funding for new energy-saving products.
Paphitis is well-known in the UK as one of the stars of Dragons' Den, a popular television show in which members of the public pitch new business ideas to a panel of successful entrepreneurs.
The Cyprus-born businessman is now lending his name to the Big Business Refit, a campaign developed by the Carbon Trust to help companies save energy by upgrading inefficient equipment.
He commented: "The Big Business Refit calls on all UK businesses to scour their premises for old equipment, from air conditioning, to fridges, compressors to factory machinery.
"With interest-free funding available to replace equipment, leading to average energy savings of 15 per cent and no security required, it's an unbelievable deal."
Clinics to help business leaders identify inefficient apparatus are set to take place in UK cities such as London, Manchester and Belfast over the next few months, with a funding pool of £100 million available to firms.
The maximum loan limit is currently £400,000 and the Big Business Refit recently made this money available to larger organisations as well as small businesses.
