Carbon Trust: UK has led development of energy saving solutions
The UK has led the world in the development of many energy saving solutions, according to the Carbon Trust.
Dave Raval, head of the organisation's incubation scheme, made his comments as it was announced that the initiative is set to expand in response to a developing need for business support to allow the next generation of clean technology innovators to emerge.
The body is looking for 25 new bodies to join the scheme over the next 12 months and up to £70,000 will be on offer to each party.
Mr Raval added: "The UK has led the development of many low carbon technologies, but we must nurture and harness the UK’s spirit of innovation and ingenuity to generate the maximum economic benefit from the global clean tech revolution."
In recent days, the Carbon Trust announced that a new scheme to help small enterprises to lower costs by installing new energy saving solutions - the Big Business Refit - will launch this month.
